Looking for something to do, I was recommended to check out GT.Banana. Very easy to find in Central Beijing by the Scitech Hotel. I got there extremely early at 8:30 since Beijing's subway system closes at around 11 (I ended up staying late anyway and taking a taxi). Across the street there's a vendor selling alcohol which is perfect for pre-gaming before you go in. While the street vendor sells beer as low as 4Yuan, the club is selling beer for 30Yuan. Mixed drinks were 40+ Yuan
Entrance price was 50Yuan and included a free drink ticket. Night started with mostly hiphop American commercial songs. Every 10 songs there would be a Chinese track. It was like this till about 11 when the system got louder and another DJ came on. It started to become more upbeat. The sound was actually impressive on the floor. The genres was pretty mixed and toward 12-1 it was mostly housey beats. Most were remixes of some commercial tracks and other well known songs. The genres did jump all over the places. I heard Billie Jean, Welcome To Miami (That's right - from Will Smith), and any other wedding type tracks mixed with Erick Morillo type tracks, and David Guetta. Every now and then they played some really good house tracks with a kick that drove the place insane. I still found myself having a good time though. The lights were one of the best things about the club. Everything had a light show. The walls, tables, chairs, bathrooms, bars, all of it. Really impressive light show.
The dance floor was a bit small but when people are on it, it jumps like a trampoline. It really gets you moving. The place is mostly covered by table service. Depending what you get it seemed the tables were costing around 800Yuan. One of my favorite things about China is the friendly people. For every table, there was at least two or three employee's helping you. You had service everywhere you went. As a matter of fact, the restroom guy started massaging me while I was taking a piss. This is normal for China but I'm defiantly not use to it. Since my Chinese sucks, he didn't understand NO lol. They are just working for tips.
The crowd at least for this event was not too bad. A girl approached me and wanted 700Yuan for a dance. Basically renting out a girl to dance with for the whole night. I told her she had to pay ME 800Yuan if she wanted to dance with me lol. She laughed, smiled, and continued to try to find another guy willing to get into her scam. Some Westerners can be found here although not a whole lot.
Overall, the venue itself was ridiculously nice. The lights and show they put on was great. The crowd was OK because they usually kept to themselves and their bottle service tables. Music had it's up and downs. It's worth checking out but a simple night of fun.
I almost got kicked out a few times for taking pictures and videos so enjoy them. Video will be up soon.

most of them actually knew how to move and go on beat. the girls here moved better then the nyc white girls. i found a few cocky girls at the tables so i guess thats a worldwide thing. I'm guessing they pictured me like the we do about the asians in nyc clubs.
they did put on a show with a black guy dancing. muscle guy on stage that danced a lot like vivacious but a lot more drastic vogue moves. they were really into that. i looked around and everyone stood still looking at the guy.
