dont be jealous because the pats had to change there offense just like the giants had to, and the giants failed and the pats somewhat prevailed.
joeyc521
08-06-2009, 09:18 AM
they didnt change their offense lol
tomciz
08-06-2009, 09:21 AM
im not a brady hater but the pats have an amazing team brady just compliments them...the colts kinda suck like without peyton they wouldnt even be play off contenders...there defense and running game are severely lacking and peyton picks up all there slack
Fast Eddie
08-06-2009, 09:46 AM
they didnt change their offense lol
Joe this is where your wrong they definitely 100% changed the offensive stylehere was no more bombs to moss. alot more running. and quick outs etc. except for cassels one or two big passing yard games it was completely not the same

i agree but i think without brady they went from a 16-0 reg season team to an 11-5 without making the playoffs. id say thats a pretty big difference

dude i am so not wrong....if u go back and look at the stats they definitely threw alot more than they ran...there offensive style was still the same...quick underneath routes to welker with an occasional bomb to moss...the only reason u think it was changed was because there were not as many big touchdown throws to moss like there was the year before
check the stats if u dont believe me
cassel only threw 60 less passes than brady did they year before with only a 5% less completion percentage
513 rushing plays in 2008
451 rushing plays in 2007
so basically those 60 less passes made up for the increase in 60 extra rushes this past season
that is not a huge drop-off at all by NFL standards
but there is also one more interesting factor....73 of those rushing plays were runs by Cassel because he is a mobile quarterback...therefore they were not designed running plays but rather passing plays that POSSIBLY broke down so he had to scramble for yards
so therefore, if you take away Cassel's 73 rushes, technically they ran the ball more times when they had Brady the year before
