What do you need to know? There's nothing a travel agent would know that can't be found on the internet. Besides - travel agents are a waste of money.

I agree with skylab. just go to the travel websites like priceline and stuff and if youre interested in a place just google. thats how I booked my cruise.

ive done some research and it looks like alot of times travel agents can save you money and get some quite good deals. only way online beats travel agents is if your booking a last minute trip, which im not trying to do. plus its alot of effort to search every fucking site , read a million descriptions. i wanna find a nice cheap all inclusive hotel in either mexico or the carribean

Ah well. Mexico should be relatively cheap seeing as how it got a bit of bad publicity. Might wanna check it out.

LOL I know the sites I gave you are a lot of work, but I think its less than a travel agent. Try and compare them and see what happens :)

It doesn't take much of an effort really. And no matter what anyone says.. Doing it yourself is ALWAYS cheaper then a travel agent..
And whatcha doing going to some resort? Come to Asia with me yo! Party is all here!!

The sometimes part is key. I'm not a big fan of travel agents at all. If it's really what you want, compare prices. Ask for a quote and don't buy into that "buy it now before it's too late" crap.
Remember that most travel agents have never been to the places you want to go to. They'll be giving you a package they sell to everyone else so it goes a long way to read some reviews.
www.TravelZoo.com is pretty good too

it seems like a lot of effort to me, im trying to go away all inclusive, i dont care about seeing anything spectacular, just sit by the beach or pool and relax in the nice weather, oh and obviously Gin n Tonic
