So I booked a 5 day cruise in August to the east carribean (whatever that means). Im going to nassau, turks and caicos and finally some private island. Its my first cruise, I havent gone anywhere overseas in awhile. I booked with carnival cruise so hopefully my fiancee and I enjoy it. My question is, what the fuck am I supposed to bring? I threw the idea of bringing beach chairs and my girl looked at me like I was stupid. So wha cha tink me should breeng?

You don't really need to bring anything except money, clothes, tanning lotion and music of course. The cruise ship supplies your food, drinks, towels, lounge chairs. etc. I would suggest that you plan your port excursions before you get on the ship this way you can pack accordingly. Def bring sun tan lotion. Have a fun trip.

Yeah we were looking at a few of the more interesting ones like swimming with dolphins and riding some dune buggy thing up and down the island (my goal is to do cartwheels with it.. oh not the dolphins, the dune buggies). Hopefully we enjoy ourselves. Im hearing you have to pay for your booze and you can't bring any back you buy from the islands?!? That kinda sucks. What if we want to bring something home??

Well last time I was on a cruise I was able to take back anything I bought. I woudn't worry about it too much. If anything just ask the people on the ship. And I would also look into a snorkeling trip. The waters are so clear on the islands and what you see under the sea is amazing.

Im into reef stuff. I used to have a 20 gal mini reef setup when I was much younger. I had live rock (like a bit of portable reef), anemones, snails, crabs, starfish, fish, sea slugs, hermit crabs. I had a whole flourishing ecosystem. It was awesome so i'm def gonna check snorkeling out. That and horseback riding on the shoreline. I want to be on some cheesy housewife romance novel shit. I'm gonna dress in like.. potato sack fabric and find like a jellyfish or something and romantically give it to my girl.

Ummmm I don't think a jellyfish is considered romantic. Why don't you try a shell or a starfish. If someone gave me a jellyfish to be romantic I'd prob throw it at them. LOL

You really don't need much of anything. Bring a set of really dressy clothes. Most cruise ships require you to dress up for dinner. Thats about it. You can buy whatever you need on the ship itself if you're dying to have it.

I think if I did the potato sack thing I'd just come out looking like a Cuban refugee.
