Rap Radar, first reported this afternoon that Jay-Z has parted ways from Def Jam. A secondary report from MTV and the New York Times also confirmed it. Word is, when Jay-Z signed his $150 million dollar 360 deal with Live Nation last year, he was teetering on leaving Def Jam as a whole... but held on for a few months even after stepping down as president of the company. Now he's stepping away from Def Jam completely.
